We have two small boys and they both love this, they are age four and five but it says for over six year olds on the box. It also says one child at a time but our kids jump together and it's fine if you are watching them. The trampoline part comes fixed onto the base ready for you to inflate. It's quite big and took ages to inflate so a good pump is a must.It doesn't put too much pressure on the grass either as the middle part is slightly raised, we just had a ring where the inflated part was on the lawn.
I don't think we will use it as a paddling pool, it would be too much trouble removing the trampoline which is fixed by threading it onto the base in a cris-cross style. If you did chooose to take it off it makes a really big deep paddling pool and the rubber is strong and sturdy so it would take a lot to burst it. Over all I'm very pleased with our purchase and would recommend especially if you would have difficulty in storing a traditional trampoline due to lack of space.
